About the Role:
This dual-role position is perfect for someone passionate about Mediterranean-style cooking, with a flair for creating beautifully presented meals. You’ll be responsible for preparing meals for 4 crew members and occasionally up to 6 guests, as well as assisting with stewardess duties when needed.
Key Requirements:
- Confident in Mediterranean-style cooking with a focus on presentation
- Comfortable provisioning in varied locations
- Experience cooking for small groups (crew and guests)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Previous yachting experience is preferred
- Ready to join the yacht immediately in South Africa

Qualifications
- STCW Certification
- ENG1 Medical Certificate
- Professional Culinary Certificates: Formal training in culinary arts, such as a diploma or certification from a recognized culinary institute.
- Food Safety and Hygiene Certification: Up-to-date certification (Level 2 or higher) in food safety and hygiene practices.
- Proficiency in Provisioning: Experience sourcing high-quality ingredients in diverse locations, often with limited access to supplies.
- Menu Planning Skills: Ability to create versatile menus catering to various dietary preferences and restrictions.
- Previous Yacht Experience: Preferred, especially in similar roles or environments, to demonstrate familiarity with galley operations on a sailing yacht.
